Stop Saying “My Life Is Too Hectic”

Stop Saying “My Life Is Too Hectic”

OK....Here is a little pet peeve of mine. Hopefully this doesn't offend you, but at the same time, I want to make sure I get through and really work on changing your mind set.

When someone is looking for a "good" reason to not workout or come into the studio, this is what I hear: “My life is so hectic right now. I just don’t have the time.”

I absolutely HATE this excuse. It's lazy. You probably aren't lazy, but the excuse is lazy. Here’s the truth: everyone’s life is hectic. Why are you the exception? Why are you busier than everyone else?

We all have families, jobs, obligations, stress, and a never-ending list of things demanding our time. You are not unique in that.

But here’s the difference: some people stop convincing themselves that this excuse is true—and others don’t.

👉 Those who stop making the excuse, make progress.
👉 Those who keep making the excuse, stay stuck.

Your health isn’t something you can push off until “life slows down.” Life doesn’t slow down. If anything, it gets more chaotic as we age.

The real question is:
Are you going to keep telling yourself the same story—or are you going to take control?

At Hitsona, our sessions are just 25 minutes long. That’s less time than doom scrolling Instagram, standing in line at Target, or watching one episode of a sitcom on Netflix.

You’re not too busy. You’re just prioritizing other things.

And that’s fine—if you’re okay with the consequences.

But if you’re tired of staying stuck, it’s time to stop with the excuses.

We’ve helped countless adults over 40 who swore they were “too busy” discover that what they really needed was accountability, structure, and a community that didn’t let them fall off.

You don’t need more time. You need to decide your health is worth it.
